Dyanna Spa began many years ago, in 1983, as a unique New York City spa. What made us different from all of the rest were our full-genital hair removal waxing services that we extended to a specialized clientele. It was simply a specific hair removal service wanted and required by certain people for personal reasons.
Athletes need the service for speed, porn stars for professional reasons, and gays preferred the look. In the Islamic religion, it is required that men and women, for reasons of cleanliness and purity, remove all genital hair. For many years, we were the only ones in the city offering full-body and full-genital waxing.
In 1987, when we relocated to our downtown east 21st Street Flatiron – Gramercy Park location, our clientele grew to include straights, mothers, fathers, grandfathers, grandmothers, and young adults. We were also able to expand and offer a myriad of other spa services.
We later opened a second hair removal waxing center in midtown east Manhattan, at E. 39th Street Murray Hill, and today both of our locations offer a full array of spa services: hair removal, facials, skin care treatments, manicures and pedicures, body treatments and massages. We also offer free consultations, gift certificates, spa and waxing packages, and spa and waxing specials.
Although we’ve grown a lot over the years, we remain a down-to-earth, family-owned, affordable, yet elegant New York City waxing salon, forever researching new spa treatments to meet the needs and enhance the well-being of our customers.
